Haven't decided if I am going to post number 2 in this series of paintings, isn't one of my favorites. This one led to a larger version too. I will show that one later. Some motives feels OK painting on smaller canvases, others doesn't. One reason is that I am not changing brushes for the smaller ones. Another one is that I loose a lot of freedom going down in size.

There's a party going on! I love your fruit paintings!

Thanks Nora. I really have to work at keeping things spontaneous, even to avoid things to be neat and clean. In some sense I hope all parts, including the errors and structures, is adding up to a better painting than if I would make all things perfect. I often get bored if I don't rough things up.
RaderaMaybe it feels like you're losing freedom, but it certainly doesn't look like it! I know I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again. Your style has such energy that is so alive, it feels like I'm looking at one heckuva huge painting. What's the largest size you've ever painted? I'd love to see it. :)
SvaraRaderaThanks Crystal!
RaderaPS! wrote you an e-mail regarding sizes etc.
Un clafouti aux cerises et myrtilles doit être excellent !! Avec la présence de quelques oeufs pourquoi pas ?!!...
SvaraRaderaJ'aime vos cerises qui semblent jouer comme des culbutos !
Gros bisous
Thanks Martine. It is fun to play with sizes and colors. I think the way I do it, give it that punching bag feeling you mention. =)
RaderaLove this one , the way the berries try to get almost out of the painting is very nice.
SvaraRaderaThanks Jane. Well, I do like 3d . =)
RaderaWell I like the colors in the 3 cherries. One is warm, one is cool, and one has almost no color at all. All the blueberries are the same, except you've got an ever so slight change in contrast between the foreground and background ones. I love the subtlety that you can still put into a bold painting.
SvaraRaderaWelcome back Karen, and thanks, I am usually more interested in to give a "in the face" experience, but sometimes I do play with depth.
RaderaVery interesting painting and very lovely fruits !!!
SvaraRaderaI like too much the colours !!!
Thanks Art-traveller. I hope you like it's bigger brother that will be posted later, I played more with the colors on that one.
