Flower Abstraction 130
This one didn't have a good start, or at least there was a few things that bothered me after I got some color done. It is a flower pattern/repetition composition, but the initial painting was stiff and it didn't flow. I kept what I liked (the bottom half and the three flowers on the left) and reworked the rest. I like how it turned out. It is playful and has a flow.

Flower Abstraction 131 (on the wall)
I have started to take picture of my larger work in context, hanging on a wall , to show the size of the painting. I didn't have time to get a picture of this one earlier, ligth was also an issue (grey and rainy days), but here it is .

Flower Abstraction 128
This is one of these small single flower Abstractions I have been working on. This one has a personality, I think, and I used a limited color palette.

Flower Abstraction 131
I changed format with this one. Took my largest panel and did this abstract kind of flower landscape. I kept a limited color palette and went for it.

Flower Abstraction 129
This is a larger painting in the current series of paintings where I am trying out some new mediums/techniques. I took the repetition of flowers a step further and is more or less a sea of flowers, a pattern of some sort. I just having fun and let my instinct guide me.

Flower Abstraction 122
This a painting that gave me a lot of problem, but turned out great and is one of my favorites right now. I tried to do a composition that in the end required me to go more naturalistic/realistic than I like. I solved it by keeping what I liked and worked the composition around it. I am glad that I didn't give up.

Bird's Nest Abstraction 43
This is a colorful bird's nest that followed the last one I posted. The main focus was on color and to be bold. I think I achieved that. I forgot to photograph this one hanging on the wall, will do that as soon as possible and post it later.

Flower abstraction 127
I should experiment more with different materials and so on. I tend to experiment with the things I got already. During my exhibitions I have heard people mention that they see some traces of graffiti, something I haven't considered myself before. I do work very graphic and enhance objects with outlines and colors, I can relate to graffiti in that sense.
A friend of mine, that works in a art supply shop, recommended acrylic spray paint, that she thought it would suit me.
I took a chance and bought a few (white, light blue, yellow and light pink), and took a large bird nest painting that I didn't like, and had some fun with it.
I think it has some potential, it really brought out the graffiti in me. After I finished that painting, I decided to buy some additional dark colors too, so my journey will continue.

Flower Abstraction 117
SOLD
This is one of the pale versions of my flower concept, but it's still colorful. I find hard to go too soft with my way of painting.

Flower Abstraction 121
I have a lot of fun experimenting with these flower concepts, trying different approaches. After doing restrained and simplified I went bold and wild with this one.

Flower Abstraction 124
SOLD
I have played around lately with textures, an element to ad to my paintings. I like the smooth clean brush strokes, but sometimes I want to ad something else into the mix.
I also include a picture of my last post to show it's size. The light could have been better, but what can one do about the weather.

Bird's Nest Abstraction 41
It is that time of the year that flowers are a logical subject, even though mine are more of a concept than actually real flowers. I thought I would mix things up with my latest painting, something totally different, a bird's nest. After a few attempts that wasn't bold enough, I painted this one, a much better attempt.

Flower Abstraction 112
SOLD
Sometimes I have a clear idea what I want to paint, but that idea can get me stuck, not letting the process and creativity has it's course. I started this one with the intention do do a slightly larger version of a painting that I had sold. I got stuck on what the original looked like and didn't think this one was good enough, so I never finished it. A year later, I finally got going and changed what was needed and I don't care that it doesn't look like the original, it is an original in itself.

Flower Abstraction 120
I have gradually gone larger and the thought behind this is work on contrast, values and color. I made the flowers colorful, but in a dark way, and contrasting them to a vibrant background.

Flower Abstraction 119
Have done several small flower abstraction, but thought I mix things up with this slightly larger one. This one had it's ups and downs. It started great, took it too far in a direction that I wasn't sure about, and finally I pulled it all together, and went for it. A little rougher than usual, but I like the result.
