A while back I played around with an idea that object lacked color, and the background and negative spaces were filled with over the top colors. The focus isn't on the object but rather on the meeting of the object and it's surrounding. This is a 2nd take on that idea. I have reduced the object compared to the first try, got a more abstract feeling.
Ooooh . . . I like this. You've been painting up a storm Roger -- good for you!! I've loved seeing your new paintings every day. But I know you like to paint large, so I will be content to wait a little longer between paintings. :)
SvaraRaderaOMG, how did I miss this one! Gorgeous.

I would love to see a toaster in your style for the DPW Challenge... perhaps tomorrow's subject will grab your fancy.
Happy Painting,
Nora
Glad you liked it Nora and Kara. Not the most obvious composition, but I like the idea of making the negative space almost the subject, to make it more interesting.
