Apples and napa cabbage 1
It is not that I like the "old" paintings that I have left to show, but I like to mix things up with some new ones.
This is a first for me, painting cabbage and it was a challenge. I started a painting with this, kind of strange set up, but it looked far too "realistic" and I did this one instead. I took what I had learned and put more spin on it. I'm not sure why I liked this composition, perhaps because it's not predictable. I had a lot of fun painting it.

Yes, it's a funny and different set up, but it works, great painting !
SvaraRaderaIt does work. How brilliant of you to choose a sliced cabbage, most of us would have chose the whole with its leafy petals.
SvaraRaderaMan tager vad man haver som Kajsa Varg sa ;)
SvaraRaderaThank you all. Painting new subjects are both frustrating, fun and satisfying. What I need is to get over the "should I paint it?" phase.
