Flower Abstraction 16

I haven't done much paintings of colorful flowers. I usually go with the subtle colors of the Iris or white. I did push myself with this composition. The flowers I painted were these multicolor cone flowers. I did a smaller one first that I liked, but I wanted to see if I could improve it when painting it in a larger version.
If I did or not is a matter of taste really. I will show the other one in a few days or so.

  1. Det blev häftigt med fläckarna i mitten på blommorna!

    1. Tack Catharina, kul att du gillar den. Är själv nöjd. Simplifiera är en utmaning. Ett penseldrag blir så viktigt i sig. =)

    1. Thank you Linda. I usually think that red is the hardest color so use a lot of, but I think I did it ok with this one.

  5. Des couleurs qui ont du caractère... Je trouve que vous avez merveilleusement dosé les nuances, elles créent entre elles une grande profondeur dans cette peinture.
    Une oeuvre vraiment réussie.
