I have painted a few cupcakes lately, inspired by two different reference cupcakes, so there are variations of them. I painted two of this raspberry cupcake. I started with this one, but at some point I thought 6" x6" was too small to be able to do the raspberries justice, started with an 8" x 8" one instead. After I finished the larger one, I realized that I really liked the small one and finished it. I am glad I did.
Very nice and cute cupcake !!!
SvaraRaderaHave a happy weekend !!!
Thank you Mystelio. I wish you too a happy weekend and happy painting.
RaderaIt's a gorgeous cup cake, deliciously inviting :-) Love how you did the raspberries.
SvaraRaderaThank you Jane. The fun thing is that I do my thing, but have to keep in mind that it should look eatable. =)
RaderaReally nice, Roger! I love the colors you used and also the raspberry's on top of the whipped cream!!
SvaraRaderaThank you Hilje. I was scared of the raspberries being so small, but I think they work in the end.
RaderaNice strawberries. I like the way you painted them with the thin white lines!
SvaraRaderaThank you Catharina. Lines (black and white) is kind of my signature, so I can't really leave them out. =)
RaderaI meant raspberries offcourse!
SvaraRaderaVery beautiful Roger. I really like the colors in the background and the detail in the raspberries. :) But the question remains did you paint this from life and did you eat your prop after you were done?? ;)
SvaraRaderaThank you Crystal. The bakeries around here don't have the most creative cupcakes. I usually get inspired of cupcakes I find on the net. Mixing things up, changing and having fun. So no eating here. =)
