Flower Abstraction 44

I thought that my first real attempt at Dogwood flowers was a success and I had a lot of fun painting it and decided to make a small one and a large one of the same subject. I did post the "work in progress" pictures below on my Facebook a while back, but I didn't show the final painting.
It was a real challenge to balance all the elements in this painting, but I had a lot of fun.

  1. Are you painting in your sleep? You are just knocking them out of the ball park. One great looking painting after another. I am so impressed.
    This series is particularly lovely.

  3. I am trying to imagine this as large as it is, and feel it must have spectacular impact. Once again I love the color harmony you get with warm and cool colors. The top dark wedge adds a lot to the design.
Your month of painting is getting close to the end and the qualitly of your production must have been rewarding.

  4. Came back for another look. I do like the monochromatic color scheme. Quiet. Calming. A relaxed mood portrayed.
