After working on the small side, I decided to upscale things. I don't like to do more complex compositions on small canvases. I rather go up a size so I can let my lines flow. With this one I did go a little over the top with colors. Did tone it down a little in the end, but I still like the glow of it.
This one is my favorite peppers painting! Allow me to explain why: The magentas & reds against the true green is awesome complimentary color. The way the ground shows through the forms accentuates your perfectly minimal strokes. The more muted color of the background peppers add fantastic depth and distance. And the splatters of white add a fresh sizzle - they actually taste spicy just looking at them. Man Roger, this kicks ass! Very well done indeed. Love it.
SvaraRaderaThank you Karen. Like I said, I like to go up in size, works better for me. I also was in a playful mode, that helped.
SvaraRaderaI love the colours! I don't think you went over the top with them at all! Nice balance of dark green and light pink. Awesome, as always.
