Super Size Fruit 3

I revisited raspberries with this one. I think I found a good balance between detail and keeping it simple. I didn't go as rough and loose as the first one, but I didn't get lost with the details either. I tried to keep it clean, simple and graphic. I had a lot of fun with it.

  1. Roger this is SO beautiful. I love it SO much. There's something about those raspberries that is very compelling. I think it is like you said, a good balance between detail and simple. It looks like it's vibrating. :)

I'm sorry I haven't been commenting often, I've enjoyed looking at your paintings as they pop up on daily painters. :) Tis the season to be busy!!

  2. These adorable raspberries look like they are singing! Perhaps they're Christmas carollers! I like the soft pink and yellow you're using in the background lately.

  5. Thank you all. Painting big again is fun and doing over sized fruits is a challenge when it comes to balance fresh brush strokes and details.

  6. Well you have the balance, fresh brush marks and details just right. I love the way you mixed the color of raspberries with the blueberries to use a purple at the top.
