Face Exploration 8

This is the last "portrait" painting that I have to show for now. I am back painting, but I haven't made any attempt on faces yet. I went rougher with this one, compared to the last one. I hope I didn't go too far when it comes to the shadows, they have an almost abstract feel.

  1. Dans vos portraits j'aime beaucoup la manière dont vous traitez les regard et ce dernier est très pensif et profond... le chemin de son âme...
Gros bisous et bon retour derrière le chevalet !

    1. Thank you Mystelio. Faces are so complex and full of details that make a person. Can be fun or a hell, depending on the day. =)

  3. I like your shadows and the way you dap colors freely around his face, another gorgeous portrait. Do more !

    1. Thank you Jane. I did go bold with the shadows. I do play safe sometimes, but if I try to push the boundaries and myself as often as I can.

  4. I really like your portraits. I sense a real story associated with each one as they are so animated. Nicely done.

    1. Thank you Tina. I love painting faces, but faces is also the thing that I judge hardest. Either I love a face or don't.
