This is one of the more abstract paintings in the series and I personally like this direction, the colors, the repetition of shapes etc. I think this is a path worth taking if I want to pursue more abstract art. I have a lot of fun painting them too.
A great abstract, Roger! It's very spirited.
SvaraRaderaLove the repetition of shapes and also the colors you used!
Thanks Hilje, glad you like it.
RaderaI'm sure these are not my most popular subjects/paintings, but I have a lot of fun doing them and I learn a lot, a reason in itself to continue.
You know , when I saw this thumbnail, I thought it was the back of a turtle , reminds me very much. I have a turtle and it is very similar, great art !
SvaraRaderaThank you Jane. I do aim for a repeating/pattern quality in these kind of abstractions. I didn't think of turtle, but I see the connections. =)
RaderaJane's got a point... but marvelous color and gradation. The nests are flattening out and becoming less nest and more design. The nest, the jump off point is expanding and distorting as you keep working on this series. Not so many lines in this one,
SvaraRaderaThanks Linda. It is hard to take big steps. These give me an opportunity to grow and be bolder. Can be even bolder, but like they say, babysteps. =)
