Flower abstraction 51



I think I have changed and improved a lot since I started to paint seriously and regulary. I have been thinking of going through older paintings and see if anyone of them deserve a 2nd try. There can be compositions and ideas that might be good. I never did before, but now I often do more than one version of a subject/composition.
This one is based on an earlier painting, not that old though, but I cropped the composition and went down in size. It is very direct and raw.

    I often change some older paintings , because after a while I begin to see flaws , that's the good thing about oils or acrylics, you can just go on and on. Lovely harmony of cool colors !

    It would be fun to see a comparison.
    This one looks bold and free with wonderful color.
    In your earlier work...the paintings you refer to, are the colors similar to now? I wonder because you mention design and ideas but not color.
