Forest exploration 1
In September last year, I started to paint on canvas hardboard-MDF (hardboard that has a canvas glued on it). Before that I painted on paper for a while, exploring and finding my "voice" as a painter. I accidentally ran out of canvas hardboard-MDF last weekend, and I started to paint over a an old unfinished painting on paper.
I realized that in some ways, I loose up and am less afraid to fail on paper, perhaps because it is cheaper. I like the result and I think I will do more on paper.

Peindre la forêt sur du papier c'est un peu rendre aux arbres son origine...
SvaraRaderaBelle peinture aux belles couleurs.
Gros bisous
Thanks Martine, painting on paper makes it less serious in some way...
RaderaYes, it is looser, but still you. I like the rough edges.

Looks perfect to me , actually I think you can paint on mostly anything...with different results. Have a nice day!
SvaraRaderaSo beautiful Roger. :) And I do really love the look of this on paper, like Nora said, it is still you. :)
SvaraRaderaI think I can see what you mean, though everything you paint is so deliciously loose. Those rough borders frame your style perfectly.
SvaraRaderaThanks all.
SvaraRaderaRight or wrong, I started painting late in life, so I want to grow as much as I can as an artist. I don't take giant steps, but hopefully I push myself enough outside my comfort zone to do some progress in the end.
