This one was painted right after I finished "In the forest 4", and when I put those two together, it looks like a continuous forest/painting, well almost anyway. They have the same feel.
Une bien jolie forêt... L'union de ces deux magnifiques oeuvres apporte une grande énergie... Vos verts sont somptueux et ils sont si vivifiants... Gros bisous
Glad you like it Martine. I am sure I will do some forest paintings with fall colors, but looking forward to mix the greens so I can make it interesting.
Yep - totally. Same scene, same color palette but amazing what a difference cropping makes. A great experiment Roger, and two masterful paintings that would look beautiful hanging on the same wall.
I love the long landscape format of the bottom one. Lovely work. Looks like there are fewer shapes happening lately... but still in your style. They're great. A little simpler. Of course, that's just my eye, perhaps you feel differently. Either way, Happy Painting!
Thanks Nora. Well the long landscape is paintings side by side, have added an explanation under the picture.
I approached those smaller paintings at the same way I do with the larger ones, kept it simple and even if it is baby steps, I try to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

SvaraRaderaThanks Karen. I am all about simplifying, and I kept these very simple and clean.
RaderaOh wow, they are awesome together, lovely cool nordic colors!
SvaraRaderaI bet you miss Denmark. =)
