Waterlily abstraction 7

SOLD

This is a new version of a painting that was lost on it's way to Canada last year. It rarely happens, but it is frustrating when it does. I did two versions, this is the first one. I liked this one a lot and it has the original painting's spirit, but I noticed that I had less visible water than the original. I think the reason for it is that the proportions on the new one is different than the original (original was painted on paper). I will show the 2nd one later.

  1. Bonjour Roger,

    gros bisous.

    1. Thanks Mystelio, Glad you like it. I considered posting both, but I thought that they looked too similar and decided to post only the one that got put on auction. The other one is slightly larger and will be posted in a week or so.

  6. I love the colors in this--and it is rare. I don't recall ever seeing a horizon line in these paintings. I like the depth it creates.

Thanks for the scolding. For someone so sure of herself on so many things, I am far from confident with portraits. Better get to painting more of them.
