Autumn Berry Abstraction 32

I know this one doesn't reflect the season we are in, but it's colorful, playful and show what is coming.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 26

This is another one of my autumn berry paintings that I did last year. I usually go for one subject that are fun to do and I keep painting them as long as I feel that I contribute something. As soon as I get the feeling that I am on repeat, then I move on.

Berry Abstraction 3

SOLD

After doing a few berry paintings (autumn berries & cherries) it was time to mix things up. I wanted to do something else, but didn't know what I wanted to paint. Not sure why, but I stuck with the berries, but went more abstract with it. This is the result.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 30

SOLD

I have a few more autumn berry paintings left, but after that, I need to paint some more or find a new subject. It is nice to have a few subjects going at the same time,  to mix things up.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 28 - Framed

SOLD

This is how this painting looked with a simple frame that I made. I usually make these frames for smaller paintings, like 6 x 6 inches, but works for larger ones too. The new owner was happy with the result.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 27

Still got a few paintings left to show in this series, and will probably keep on doing them from time to time, despite what time of the year it is. I really love to play around with them.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 25

SOLD

This is one of the paintings that I did earlier and it is less autumn with the green leaves. This series is  the closest I get to a still life right now. I can play with the compositions, the shapes and colors, but am not limited to something that is in front of me.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 24

I am painting a lot of abstract paintings right now, something I am enjoying a lot. It is a subject that I can explore without having any limitations. I know that there will come a day when I will get stuck, repeating myself and loose the creative drive, then it is time to move on to a new subject. That happened earlier with my "Autumn berries" series.

This painting is from earlier, when all I wanted to paint was berries. I know I will continue with the subject, but for now I have nothing new to add to the subject.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 22

SOLD

This is a small autumn abstraction, and in a way more abstract than usual. Up close it might look busy for some, but take a few steps back and let the eyes blend the brush strokes a little and the image emerge and get clear and graphic. I really like this one.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 21

SOLD

The fall/autumn is finally here and I can paint as many autumn berry paintings as I want, well I did jump start a little, got several to show over the next month  or so. The big difference from earlier is that I have continued with small sizes and had a lot of fun adjusting content with size and pushing the boundaries and going outside my comfort zone.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 20

It is funny how things works out. I didn't have any drive to paint and the only thing that interested me and worked were my flower abstractions. I just went for it one day, didn't think at all and I did this one, the first in a row of autumn berries paintings. I have also done paintings with apples, tomatoes etc. A real change of pace.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 18

This one is larger than my flower abstraction and was done a while back, before I got busy painting flowers. It has a limited pallette and has a great glow.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 17

Working small is going great right now and I am trying to take advantage of it. This is a painting that are slightly larger and was done just before I went down in size. I love the limited color pallette.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 15

Still keeping it small, but continued to explore berries. Painting small mean keeping it simple, making every brush stroke count. A few paint strokes can be the difference between a winner and a failure.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 16

I hope I will get lots of interesting reference photos from our garden this year. There is a lot of berries growing. I call this series autumn berries because most berries get ripe late summer, early autumn and is more of a guideline.
This is a new painting in the series and the inspiration came from a painting that I sold during my Easter Exhibition. This one is a lot smaller though.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 13

I know I haven't been posting anything for a while, but I have been busy preparing for my Easter exhibition and I have been doing a lot of work in the garden (pulling down a high hedge with European Beech and replacing it with a fence etc. A lot of work, but I love it. I might post some pictures of it later.

I am sure others have the same problem as me regarding prices. The exchange rate change over time and should price include shipping cost? My thoughts right now is to put prices on my small paintings, but not for my large work. The prices on my large work will reflect several aspects, depending on where the buyer lives etc.

This is a painting I did a while back. It is full of energy and I tried to capture the wild nature.
