I name a lot of my paintings right now "abstraction". I always paint more or less abstract, am never trying to paint a subject as it really is. After I did the painting "Iris variation" I wondered what it would have looked like if I roughed it up more, gone more abstract with it. I am working a lot with keeping things fresh, to even avoid doing things too perfect. If I don't achieve it, I get bored with the painting.
Either way you do it, this Iris is still beautiful...slightly abstract but recognizable.
SvaraRaderaI don't have the "total abstract" gene, I simplify but keep it recognizable. Glad you like it.
RaderaHello Roger:) I find it not even super abstract. The curls make it a bit softer. But I'm no expert, so you don't disturb too much to my opinion! I think the painting is very beautiful. Especially the purple colours with the yellow heart are great! I love the curls:)
SvaraRaderaThanks Renate, glad you like it. =)
