Thought I mix things up by painting an Iris, and I chose a flower with a color combination that I never done before, and I am surprised that I like it.
Yes, these are different colors than previous Irises (I looked at some older ones to compare). I like this new color combo - very fresh and bright. The yellower greens in the background feel new too, and they compliment that aqua color in the flower. Very nice Roger!!!
Thank you Martine. Always nice to translate what you write, you put a smile on my face. Thanks for the Iris photos, I will try to make them justice.
Iris doesn't bloom here yet, but I hope I will be able to get more reference photos this year. Last year I didn't know that I would need more than I took. Feel free to send more, I can never get too many. =)
Beautiful. Love the bold strokes!
SvaraRaderaStay inspired!
Thanks Michelle. Am so inspired right now, too bad the day hasn't got more hours.

SvaraRaderaThanks Karen. I try to grow, to try new things out, sometimes it baby steps, other times so much that I am not sure I will pull it together.
