I usually like to crop and cut, getting close to an object, but I pulled the Iris flower back and show more of the negative spaces. I tried to keep the background fun and lively, but not too much, didn't want it to compete with the flowers attention.
Your crop looks pretty cropped to me. It's nice and tight. You're colors are getting more vivid too. Beautiful work Roger.
SvaraRaderaThanks Linda. I try to do things a little different each time, explore and grow as a painter.
RaderaUne petite soeur à celle qui se trouve devant moi actuellement!...
SvaraRaderaTrès belle fleur qui ne cesse de m'envoûter... Les couleurs de l'arrière plan sont très subtiles...
Bravo Roger!
Gros bisous
Thanks Martine. Perhaps they are related. =) At least they have the same father, me! =)
RaderaI'm always amazed at how many different ways there are to paint the same thing. No matter how many times you do an Iris, it's never boring.
SvaraRaderaThanks Karen. Sometimes I wonder if mix things up enough to not getting too predictable.
RaderaThere is a lot of warmth in this purple color, bolder than usual, like it very much !
SvaraRaderaThanks Jane.
RaderaI never know if I'm going to see trees, fruit or an iris... but I know I'm going to like it!!
SvaraRaderaHave a wonderful art filled weekend.
Thanks Nora. I know I don't mix things up as you do, one really don't know what you will post next.
RaderaI try to mix things up, but in the end I paint what I feel like painting, and that usually means that I paint a few paintings within a theme or subject.
