I tried to push this one visually a little by making the viewer see the bowl from the side, with the top of the bowl in the viewers eye level. I had a blast with those apples.
Fabulous. It is your warm/cool, spot-on-values which make this special. I especially love the front green apple's color change where it is touching the glass.
I know this is a little more conventional for you you -- but I really like it. I think the background works especially well with the subject. It doesn't compete, but it remains interesting. And without lots of detail, you really captured the essence of the fruit being IN the bowl -- keeping glass between the fruit and the viewer. Nice work!
It looks like you had a good time. I like the way the apples are pressed against the glass. The bowl spilleth over.
SvaraRaderaThanks Linda. It has been a real challenge to do all of this transparency, but I have had a lot of fun and learned a lot.
RaderaWonderfully fresh painting, love everything about it !
SvaraRaderaThanks Jane. I really went for those apples, and I think they are some of the best apples I have done.
RaderaYippee! I'm lovin' all your glass bowl paintings! That green guy up front is perfect.
SvaraRaderaThanks Jane. It was fun to simplify it and get the small variations in light and shadow.

Gros bisous.
Thanks Martine. I am sure I will do more glass in the future, perhaps with flowers in it, but for now I think I do some other subjects.
RaderaHi Roger ,
SvaraRaderaReally very wonderful and colourful painting !!!
Thanks art-Traveller. I like to play with color, even though I could and will push it further in the future.

SvaraRaderaThanks Julie. I go so much by instinct that I forget to plan values, am glad that my instinct does it for me.
