I have just finished two small cupcake paintings, but got no photos of them yet. I have also finished two paintings that has been around for ages. Sometimes I can love and hate a painting at the same time, not sure what to do with it, but they have my approval now.
In the meantime I got this Iris that at first was too perfect and lame, so I went for it and tried to be bolder and now I think it is fun and got a lot of energy.
I completely understand what you mean about loving and hating a painting at the same time. It's like it's good but it's not what I thought it would be...
SvaraRaderaLooking forward to seeing the cupcakes!
I often wonder why you are trying to be more bold in your work, when your work is bold. Another beautifully bold iris Roger. Your cupcakes are bold too and always remind me I want to go buy a torte and paint it alla prima then throw it away without eating. I wonder if I could be so disciplined? Are your cupcake painting done from life?
SvaraRaderaI agree with the energy in this one but wonder what it was like before. Everything I have ever seen of yours has had wonderful energy/movement in it. The colors in this are bright too, and that gives it great appeal to my senses.
