I did take a little different approach with this one. I did continue with expressive brush strokes, but I didn't go as bold with the colors. I tried to keep the contrast with a lighter touch, no bold shadows. I also spent more time on it. I like the result myself, the face is softer than the previous ones.
Une belle douceur dans les nuances de la peau... qui accentue la profondeur du regard.
SvaraRaderaUn autre très joli portrait... Jamais de femme ?!... Comme moi, jamais d'homme ?!... (si une fois j'en ai peint un!)...
Gros bisous
Thank you Martine. I thought I go with a more restraint color scheme on this one.
RaderaHi Roger,
SvaraRaderaThe results of your work are super !!!
Another very nice portrait !!!
Have a nice day !!!
Thank you Art-Traveller. I put a lot of pressure on myself, but I do think I make progress.
RaderaI am liking these portraits of yours. You are quite the painter.they show great strength in drawing and full command of color.
SvaraRaderaThank you Linda. I am not sure if I am a good at drawing or not, but I know I should take more time to do it. I am not very patient.
RaderaYes, it is nice and soft and the eyes are beautiful, love how you made them !
SvaraRaderaThank you Jane. I think the eyes are the key element for me. If I don't like the eyes, I don't like the painting.
RaderaThis is awesome Roger. I particularly like your skin tones here. :)
SvaraRaderaThank you Crystal. I don't make things easy for myself, changing colors and approach. That is why I went with a more restraint color scheme on this one.
