I am still not sure how many paintings I will show in my exhibit during Easter, but I have to get paintings framed and decide which will be in soon. This is one that I might have in, but all depend what mix of paintings I decide to have. I have some large more abstract nest paintings that I think is among the ones that will be in the exhibition, so this one is only a "might be in".
Strong in design it is a gpod one but not as abstract because of it being more of the actual color range of a nest. Your choice - abstract or ????
SvaraRaderaThank you Julie, glad you like it. I don't have a real bird's nest, but the idea, the ground shape of a nest have given me a lot of fun. =)
RaderaVery wonderful bird's nest abstraction !!!
SvaraRaderaHave a nice and creative new week !!!
Thank you Mystelios, glad you like it. Have a great week too. =)
RaderaThe earth colors are wonderful. What's wrong with nests being the color of nests? When you make them surreal colors, the viewers' association changes for better or worse., for they bring their own associations with the shape with them . Some of your nest paintings have brought jelly doughnuts to my mind. The viewer's association can be directed by the title-- nests at twilight, etc.--pending the palette.
SvaraRaderaThanks Linda, glad you like it. I play with the form, the colors and let the process guide me. In the end it doesn't matter if people get the connection, as long as it is interesting. =)
