It is over a year ago that I did my last Birch tree painting. Those trees have a graphic quality that I like. I kept a limited color palette on this one and had some fun with it.

This is a painting that has been around for a while, never getting finished. This is one of those paintings that I have both loved and hated, depending what day it was. I finally finished it and it was given my approval.

I did go further and more abstract with this one. I also played with something I rarely use, gray lines to indicate distance. I had a lot of fun.

I have done a lot of exploration of trees/forest paintings. I did take a detour from the path, still trees, but I did this birch tree painting. I kept it simple and I didn't do anything to suggest what kind of trees it was until I was almost finished with the painting, and I tried to do as little as possible to indicate it.

I hope people doesn't get tired of my forest explorations. I doubted from the beginning that it would suit me. There is some type of landscapes that I haven't found how to approach yet, but I will get there.
I tried to get a "looking through" feeling on this one.

This is one of my forest paintings. On this one I decided to tone the colors down a little, it is more like being in the shade, taking cover.

After painting 2 tree/forest/wood paintings I wanted the next one to be more abstract than the previous ones, so this is the result, a semi partially abstract tree painting.

Birch Trees Inferno

This is loosely based and inspired by a small painting I did earlier (Birch Trees Mini). I think I took things one more step further toward abstraction. I wanted it to explode with colors, like getting overwhelmed by it all when walking in the woods.

This is a continuation of my first Birch-trees painting. I took the concept and pushed it further than I did then. This is more expressive with the brush-strokes and colors. The first one was simpler and had a limited color pallet, this one ... doesn't.
