I am having a fun time painting small, trying new and old things out. I try to paint loose, but without loosing the graphic feel. It is a while since I painted an avocado, but I changed that.

A part of skill is confidence. I got a lot confidence painting certain things, other not so much. I know skill and confidence will come with practice, but time for practice can be an issue and having things to show on my blog also makes it hard to get time for everything.

I painted this one right after my last avocado painting. I like painting avocados, the shapes and colors are fun to play with.

A few days ago I sat and had no idea what I wanted to paint. I have been painting a lot and I think I needed this little break. During the confusion I did manage to paint this avocado painting, which I like a lot. Some paintings I don't mind not selling.This one I  even consider not selling, well I will sleep over it. I like it's simplicity and roughness.

Have done Avocado fruits before, but this time I kept it small, like the others I have done lately. Tried to keep it in the same spirit as the other Avocado paintings.
Have started working on a commissioned painting of a Lilac flower, The size is bigger, around 26" x 18", will post it when it is finished.

Avocado 3

Posting 3 avocado paintings in a row usually mean that it will get fewer views, some people think they have already seen it, some thinks "another one?", well haven't had much time to paint, but did this 3rd avocado painting. Tried some new things. More than one avocado, played with the composition and colors. Wanted this to be different than the other 2.

Well, yes it's another avocado. I often try different things with the same motive or the first one inspire me to do more. This one I tried the "from above " approach.

Going through  my list of vegetable and fruit that would be fun to do or that I think look great, I finally got the the avocado. I think it's form and colors are fantastic. This is my first take on the subject.
