This is a painting from my abstract series, a little different than usual. The style is mine, but the colors are more subtle, more restraint. I like it a lot. It is large, got a lot of details, but feel very calm. I will go this route again.

This is my largest painting I have done the last months, and probably the last painting I did before my spring break. Working large give me the space to go for it, but can also be a challenge, finding the right size variation and right amount of details.

I thought I start the new year with a painting that are one of my favorite paintings right now. The painting is larger than what I have been working with this autumn, needed to mix things up. I am keeping this one to my self for now, as a reference and inspiration piece.

This painting was part of a larger painting that I had mixed feelings about. I am still not sure if I did the right thing cutting it down, but at least I got two small paintings that I like. I posted the other one earlier.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 13

I know I haven't been posting anything for a while, but I have been busy preparing for my Easter exhibition and I have been doing a lot of work in the garden (pulling down a high hedge with European Beech and replacing it with a fence etc. A lot of work, but I love it. I might post some pictures of it later.

I am sure others have the same problem as me regarding prices. The exchange rate change over time and should price include shipping cost? My thoughts right now is to put prices on my small paintings, but not for my large work. The prices on my large work will reflect several aspects, depending on where the buyer lives etc.

This is a painting I did a while back. It is full of energy and I tried to capture the wild nature.

Autumn Berry Abstraction 12

The subject of pushing ones limit, going outside ones comfort zone, is a tricky one. I can't  do it all the time, have to find a new place that is my new comfort zone before going further, if you know what I mean. 

A related question is how much do I push? Not enough mean no progress, too much mean there is a risk that I reject it because I can't relate to it, especially if I am not objective enough.

This is a painting that I went outside my comfort zone with. At one point, I was about to scrap the painting as a whole and only save one or two sections of it. The painting as a whole were too busy, to expressive.

I put the painting aside, left it alone for a while. I usually loose interest if I don't keep going and I don't always know in which direction I want to go. This time I was able to keep it together and improve it.

I am not at the point where I am objective enough to judge it, but so far, I don't dislike it.

This is a smaller variation of a the autumn berry theme and was the inspiration behind the larger painting I just posted "on the wall" pictures off.
All focus right now is getting things ready for Easter. I got more paintings to show and will be continuing posting and hopefully I will be able to paint too.

This is another one that has been posted earlier, but in a new context. It is a semi large berry abstraction and I love the elements and colors in this one. It is very diverse, but still cohesive.

Time to revisit a painting that have been posted earlier,  but now in a new context. This is how it looks hanging on my kitchen wall. I know that I have said it before, but a picture of a painting rarely give a real impression of it's size. Especially large paintings.

This a large, well semi large at least, autumn abstraction painting. I wanted to contrast the bold warm colors with muted cold ones. This is my favorite painting right now.

This one has a little special history. I was painting a larger painting that I pushed outside my comfort zone. There were times when I loved it and times that I didn't. One of the worst moments I know, is when I think a painting got potentials, but need some corrections, but I am not able to get on with it. It can be that I am not sure what direction I want to take it or don't have the energy/drive to do it.

I did some corrections, but not in the right direction and I lost drive to continue. I still wonder if I did the right choice, but I scrapped it. I did take a part of it, a part I really liked and thought would work as a painting in itself. It is a little unconventional painting perhaps, but I like it. I have taken the concept and played a little with it on some small paintings too.

This is  a medium size abstraction that I painted after the 2 large ones (posted earlier). I wanted to give it the same feeling, but on a smaller scale. I think it turned out great.

This is a larger version of a smaller favorite of mine. It's not a copy of the original, but a more complex version  with similar colors. This one, the large one, will probably be part of my "Easter exhibition. I will keep the small one for now, as a future reference and inspiration.

This one  took a different direction than intended, but that is the fun thing with creating this way. I am going where the inspiration takes me, trusting my instincts.

It is a very dark season up here in Sweden right now, taking pictures are not easy. I hope these pictures are good enough to do the painting justice and give an idea about the size.
