Autumn Berry Abstraction 11

I am still in the garden phase, but I am slowly getting the urge to paint and have started to consider what to start with.... that is a good sign.

This is a painting that I did earlier, before my Easter exhibition. I didn't post it or included it in the exhibition because I painted several variations of this theme/composition.
I like them all, including this one and they were a popular subject in my exhibition.

Rowan Berries 26

I did this a while back and was ahead of time, this berries is getting read around now. There is a lot of similar berry bushes/trees, even if these isn't common everywhere.

This painting was originally rectangular, but I thought it lacked focus and cut the canvas down and re-framed it as a square.

Rowan Berries 25

We didn't plan to do some work done with our garden right now, but we are. We have pulled up a high hedge with European Beech and replacing it with a fence. That hedge took a lot of space from our garden, and stealing a lot of light. Pulling up those trees and roots is hard work. The hedge consisted of 74 plants.

This is not a season painting, but a favorite subject of mine. Rowan berries, a kind of autumn berries.

Not For Sale

I have been working on this for a while, the biggest berries painting to date. I tried to keep it rough, wild like nature.

Rowan Berries 21

Still not able to paint (well, I started but had to stop), am in the process of selling our apartment and buying a larger apartment (or house), don't want to mess up all the things we have done recently.

I will be able to paint after I have covered the walls (with plastic) and the newly sanded and varnished wooden floor. I have to wait another 2 weeks until I can cover the floor though.

This is a painting of one of my favorite themes. The intention was to do an updated version of one of my first Rowan berries paintings for my Easter exhibit, but it didn't make the final cut, not enough space.
