I can't say that I am totally into painting again, but I am satisfied with the things I have done. Large new versions, variations of earlier concepts/paintings. It is so easy that they lack the spontaneity and doesn't live up to the previous ones, but I am glad that they did.
This is a large painting with abstract flowers in a vase. It has a limited color pallette.

It has been a while... again. I was just getting back to painting again, when my life took a 180 degree turn and painting were no longer on the table.

We are soon moving, sold the our current house and bought a new one, starting from scratch again, but that is a good thing. This time we are going to plan our garden from the perspective of having 2 active Whippet dogs.

I have started painting again, mixed results, but I am going in the right direction.

This is one of my largest paintings that I have done and is a continuation of my flower abstraction concept.

Flower Exploration 41

This is a more complex flower exploration painting. How detailed/complex a painting become depend when I think it is done. The risk with that method is to go too far, to over work it. I think that it worked out well this time.

I have been exploring and painting landscapes/trees a lot, more or less abstract. I have worked without reference, going with my instinct. I will use photos for references and ideas, but for now I have focused on the shapes of the trees, trying out things.

I am so behind showing what I have done, but too busy painting, a blessing in disguise. This painting is the result of being inspired by what I do. I saw a detail in a painting, and wonder how it would look as a separate painting.

Forest Exploration 21

This is the painting right now that inspire most when it comes to trees and landscapes. The problem for me is to not overthink it, not trying to replicate something that was pure instinct and confidence over my own ability.

I got stuck on trees, started overthink what I was doing, trying to replicate what I did when I went with the flow and instinct. Am back on flowers again at the moment.

This is one of the large ones I did before moving to landscapes. I really like this one. Has a lovely glow.

I have moved on from flowers to trees, landscapes and forests. I still have flower paintings to show, but will mix a little for variation. This is the first one I did, just went with the flow and didn't have any restrictions.

This is one of the largest paintings that I have done in this series. It has a more open color scheme, but I think it has a very distinct look, I like it a lot.

I considered to post a painting that I did a while back, for change of pace, but I think I stick with what I am doing right now. Can post the older paintings if I take a break or something.

This is a color variation on the flower exploration theme. I keep finding "what if" ideas, which is a good thing, driving me forward outside my comfort zone.

I know that I am not posting the paintings in this series in the order they were made, but like my art, I go with my gut feeling. As a result of the work process with these paintings, an idea has formed, what if I just use my line work on a white canvas, more or less. I might give that a try.

I did this a while ago, I tend to go with a theme right now until I get bored or feel that I don't adding anything new to the table. Going smaller mean keeping it simple,clean and not to overwork it with details.

After several painting of flowers in a vase, I thought I take it a little more abstract, skipping the vase and go with shapes and colors. Working like I do, going where my instinct lead me, it got less abstract than I had in mind, but that isn't a bad thing. I like this one a lot.
